Sumario:[EN] The differences between the genera Luperus Geoffroy and Calomicrus Dillwyn are discussed. The shape of the spermatheca is fundamental for differentiating the two genera. Other characters offer good diagnostics, such as penis morphology, shape of eyes and pronotal angles, antennal length, length of the 3rd antennomere, the ratio 3rd antennomere length / 2nd antennomere length, body length (in females), elytral length (in females) and the ratio body length / antennal length (in males).
