Descripción
Sumario:[EN] Immigrant entrepreneurs have had to adapt or even abandon their businesses due to the impact of the economic crisis that affected consumption especially and, therefore, business activity in general. In order to appreciate the changes at this stage of significant impact of the crisis, six urban axes of the city of Madrid have been selected that have a significant presence of foreign-owned shops and services, which were studied by the authors in 2009. They were visited and analyzed again in 2015. Currently, to maintain their businesses, these so-called ethnic entrepreneurs tend to attract a wider customer base, abandoning excessive specialization while in its place improving the presence of commercial establishments and the products and services offered.
