Descrição
Resumo:[EN] The casemates, elements of the Italian coastal defence system, are serial “objects” developed by the Genio Militare between 1941 and 1943, with different shapes, sizes and layouts according to the functions for which they were intended. The aim is to present the beginnings of research in Calabria, focusing on the casemates of Punta Alice in Cirò Marina, in the province of Crotone. A place chosen for its unique landscape and defensive vocation, where there is visible evidence of historical stratification. The casemates are abandoned ruins that coexist with the architecture of the past, transforming the contemporary landscape of “capo Lice”.
