| Sumario: | [EN] Photoacoustic imaging has emerged over the last two decades as a promising tool for the early diagnosis of dermatologic diseases in a rapid and non-invasive manner. However, it is necessary to develop new techniques to reduce its cost and make it accessible in dermatologic clinics and primary care centers. In this paper, we explore some of the current applications of this technique in the field of dermatology. Also, we describe our progress in the development of a portable prototype of low-cost photoacoustic microscopy for volumetric imaging of melanoma. |
