This is the case in some colonies and municipalities in Southern Spain. In this paper we seek to revisit two cases: on the one hand, Carthago Nova’s mines and their role in the construction of its colonial ager (Cartagena, Murcia), and on the other hand the links between the mines and the colonial and municipal territories in the Guadalquivir middle valley (Andalusia). The last decades of the Republican period and the 1st century AD constitutes an essential phase for understanding juridical and territorial transformations, in which mines have had an active part.[FR] Les mines anciennes ont été souvent considérées comme des éléments à part, dont l’évolution est restée indépendante des transformations qui ont secoué les villes et leurs territoires. Pourtant, la recherche contextuelle sur divers secteurs miniers indique que l’existence de richesses minières a conditionné l’assignation et l’aménagement (ou le réaménagement) des territoires des colonies et des municipes de l’Hispanie méridionale. Nous proposons d’analyser dans ce texte deux de ces zones : d’un côté, le rôle des mines dans la construction du territoire colonial de Carthago Nova (Carthagène, Murcie) et de l’autre, les rapports entre les mines et les territoires des colonies et des municipes du secteur central de la vallée du Guadalquivir (Andalousie).
