| Resumo: | David Mamet is a well known playwright and filmmaker. This article studies the morphology of the mametian comedy and one of his best homages to theatre: A Life in the Theatre Here the baroque image of life as a theatre and its opposite are explored. Theatre is also a very closed world where we find the same problems as in outside world. Through parody and intertextuality Mamet finds his way in a play structured as a series of sketches. |
