| Sumario: | The most prominent iconography in the Asturias epigraphy documents is identified with the astral images, especially with the sun circle, sometimes symbolized with his rays. The documents which contain the sun circle epigraphic figures are oicomorphes inscriptions, not only for their typology that also for their connection with the deceased’s reception; these representations convert into the expression of the deceased’s survival after dead. These sun figures seem to imply a direct reference to afterlife; they symbolize the regeneration made from the king of the sky, the sun, with his daily rising: life comes up again for people residing in the netherworld |
