The numerical accuracy was confirmed by conducting the independence study of computational domain and mesh resolution, and also validated by single and two bubbles experiment results. After investigating the main collapsing characteristics (bubble morphology, lifespan, the speed and direction of microjet) of near-wall bubble under single and two-bubble configurations, it is found that the two-bubble configuration significantly changed the bubble morphology and extended their lifespan, and the influence of the upper bubble on the lifespan of the near-wall bubble tends to be consistent under the same bubble–bubble distance when the stand-off distance is larger than two. Moreover, the speed of the microjet in near-wall bubble was increased comparing to single bubble configuration, and this increment decreases with the increase of bubble–bubble distance.
