| Sumario: | The present article examines from the Reception theory and the concept of 'phenomenology' the way in which three authors of English Romanticism, Southey, Coleridge and Shelley read the sacramental plays of Calderon de la Barca. As we can see, the critical comments of these authors about the theater of the Golden Age playwright are diverse and range from aesthetic delight to negative critical judgment from a position of religious prejudice. |
