Modeling transport phenomena at the interface between a free fluid and a porous medium

In this project, we are dealing with a fluid that flows in a certain domain surrounded by a region formed by a porous medium and a substance dissolved in the fluid. We want to study its velocity, pressure and the concentration of the substance which diffuses into and its transported by the fluid. We...

Sumario:In this project, we are dealing with a fluid that flows in a certain domain surrounded by a region formed by a porous medium and a substance dissolved in the fluid. We want to study its velocity, pressure and the concentration of the substance which diffuses into and its transported by the fluid. We propose and study different mathematical models in order to study them theoretically and then numerically.
