| Sumario: | ABSTRACT: The High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) will force their experiments to cope with harsh radiation environments, especially in the detectors closest to the interaction point. To face the more demanding operating conditions, the CMS detector will fill the innermost layers of the tracking system with a new radiation-tolerance technology: the 3D pixel sensors. The aim of this project has been to include the sensor response provided by this technology into the CMS software for the full simulation. For this purpose, a new algorithm has been implemented and validated by comparing it with test beam data. |
