| Sumario: | Implicit surface poligonalization is an useful technique for visualizing sampled volumetric data in many scientific applications. In this report we describe some of the different algorithms for constructing poligonazed isosurfaces that correspond to specific threshold values within the data. We look in detail the two most used techniques: marching cubes and cuberille type algorithms. We take special attention in the former one, emphasing in topological issues of the isosurface fitting algorithms. |
