Sumario:The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the ideation and development process for custom in-ear headphones specifically tailored to the unique morphology of each user’s ear. The key steps involved in reaching the final solution, starting with a brainstorming phase where ideas are generated. Digital tools are employed throughout the process to aid in the design and development stages by using the reverse engineering techniques to understand the intricacies of the ear structure. Subsequently, 3D modelling is used to create a virtual representation of the customised headphones. Additive manufacturing processes are then used to bring the design to life, followed by moulding techniques to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. By employing these methodologies, the work successfully culminates in the development of a fully functional prototype of custom in-ear headphones. This research provides valuable information on the process of creating personalised audio devices that enhance user experience and comfort.
