Descripción
Sumario:The 1960s bequeathed to incoming generations of Americans a world in which neoconservatism became the intellectual spearhead of rightwing political thought and action. To this day, politics and policy making retain a potent neoconservative flair, which must be added to the considerable vigor of neoconservative principles in the enduring cultural wars still coloring American public life. This article reassesses the origins of neoconservatism and examines the key elements and subsequent influence of this group of American rightwing thinkers and policy makers.
