description The research presented below is an approach to knowledge about the concept of heritage landscape, its recognition and identification, as well as the meaning it arouses in collective and individual memory. Heritage landscapes are true containers of material remains of the cultural past of human beings, which have lasted until the present moment, despite their inexorable submission to the passage of time. However, they are also spaces that bring together experiences, feelings, memories and views, thus generating an intangible and intrinsic component of the concept of heritage landscape. This dual combination gives them an incalculable value, signifying them as redoubts of readings and legacies of the past that have determined the current context. That is why its protection and recovery in the present is necessary, through research and intervention for its conservation and dissemination in the future. In this sense, numerous values of the landscape are analyzed: historical, archaeological, environmental, ethnographic, intangible, etc., to unravel the interweaving that has generated the superimposition of layers over time, giving rise to complex and interesting cultural palimpsests that need to be displayed and understood by visitors. These landscapes and heritage elements, from different eras, present peculiarities and complexities that cause diverse problems and strategies to arise in their architectural intervention processes for their protection, restoration and, ultimately, enjoyment, contemplation and public visit. The analysis and critical study of different notable cases of interventions in heritage landscapes of Castilla y León, as examples of the experience of the LAB/PAP, as well as other cases of heritage landscapes resulting from the investigation and own knowledge inside and outside the national territory , allows to classify the different ways of facing the problem from the architecture. Specifically, ultimately, the proactive methodologies that have been studied and established to intervene architecturally in different cases of heritage landscapes, serve as a substrate in the identification and critical analysis of the tools, procedures and project strategies carried out in the history of the intervention process that constitutes the Patrimonial Landscape of Clunia. With this, the archaeological site expands its meaning, becoming a true laboratory for contemporary research and accepting approaches to the relationship with the territory.

Los paisajes patrimoniales constituyen verdaderos contenedores de restos materiales del pasado cultural del ser humano, que han perdurado hasta el momento presente, a pesar de su sometimiento inexorable al paso del tiempo. Sin embargo, también son espacios aglutinadores de experiencias, sentimientos, recuerdos y miradas, generando así un componente intangible e intrínseco del concepto de paisaje patrimonial. Esta combinación dual, los dota de un valor incalculable, significándolos como reductos de lecturas y legados del pasado que han determinado el contexto actual. Es por ello que resulta necesaria su protección y recuperación en el presente, a través de la investigación y la intervención para su conservación y difusión en el futuro. En este sentido, se analizan numerosos valores del paisaje: históricos, arqueológicos, ambientales, etnográficos, inmateriales, etc., para desgranar el entretejido que ha generado la superposición de capas en el tiempo, dando lugar a complejos e interesantes palimpsestos culturales que necesitan ser mostrados y comprendidos por los visitantes. Estos paisajes y elementos patrimoniales, procedentes de diferentes épocas, presentan peculiaridades y complejidades que hacen que se planteen problemas y estrategias diversas en sus procesos de intervención arquitectónica para su protección, restauración y, en última instancia, el disfrute, contemplación y visita pública. El análisis y estudio crítico de diferentes casos notables de intervenciones en paisajes patrimoniales de Castilla y León, como ejemplos de la experiencia del LAB/PAP, así como de otros casos de paisajes patrimoniales fruto de la indagación y conocimiento propio dentro y fuera del territorio nacional, permite clasificar los distintos modos de enfrentarse al problema desde la arquitectura. Concretamente, en último término, las metodologías propositivas que se han estudiado y establecido para intervenir arquitectónicamente en diferentes casos de paisajes patrimoniales, sirven como sustrato en la identificación y análisis crítico de las herramientas, procedimientos y estrategias de proyecto llevadas a cabo en la historia del proceso de intervención que constituye el Paisaje Patrimonial de Clunia.
