Sumario:[EN] Experimenting painting is the engine that drives my work. Therefore, my motivation is the endless possibilities and forms that painting allows me. From this point, I started researching about the following subject: the image on films. I seek to investigate how these images are set, by moving and translating their qualities into pictorial language, which would originate a new vision of the film archive. It’s of high importance paying attention to the assembly, dialogue between the pieces of artwork, the overview and, in turn, their individuality. In consequence, independent images are generated; which also interact with the complete set of pieces. My work process begins with the observation and study of frames. It’s only a few images that catch my eye and remain in my mind. The technique I use is oil on wood and on canvas. In this way, they make up a series of works that make use of film and painting as keys to my work.
