| Sumario: | In Barcelona, the historiography concerning the trade brotherhoods is an- cient and rich. Drawing on the varied and abundant archive collections, the studies have highlighted the fundamental role that these communities played in the economic, social, and urban development of the city, as well as their political role. As far as the ‘artistic’ brotherhoods are concerned, the research, although later and less numerous, has nevertheless made it possible to draw conclusions and to outline research perspectives. |
