This study aims to analyze the meaning of the behavior of presenting the garment to a two to three year-old child by an Emmi Pikler Nursery School educator in Budapest. This study was carried out in the usual context of the activity (the classroom), using observational methodology and, in particular, an ad hoc instrument created for this purpose. The results show that by presenting the garment, the educator provides the child with the right to participate in their own care and decide how and to what degree to do so.Third author gratefully acknowledges the support of a Spanish government subproject Integration ways between qualitative and quantitative data, multiple case development and synthesis review as main axis for an innovative future in physical activity and sports research [PGC2018-098742-B-C31] (2019-2021) (Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades/Agencia Estatal de Investigación/Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional), that is part of the coordinated project New approach of research in physical activity and sport from mixed methods perspective (NARPAS_MM) [SPGC201800X098742CV0].Taylor & Francis202520252022info:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10810/76049reponame:Addi.
