Descrição
Resumo:[EN] The present work is to enhance the stretch of Islamic wall preserved in the ancient Ángel inn, in the quarter of Carmen in Valencia. For it a tour is done, first of all, by the political situation in the years of muslim occupation to understand its historical essence and the role redeemed by the enclosure walled in a convulsed epoch, especially, for the Christian advances in the reconquest of the peninsula and for the arrival of the Almoravids and Almohads, dynasties of African origin. Also, contains information provided by Muslim and Christian sources on the fortification, as well as its evolution from the 11th century until its modification and enlargement in the next century. The case study approaches a historical, archaeological and constructive approximation, in addition to collecting the results obtained of the analyzed sample. Concretely, a granulometric study is realized to establish the percentage of binder and arid in the lime concrete masonry and the binder is analyzed by MEB/EDX to know its composition and its intrinsic characteristics. Then it develops a diagnosis of conservation status and the factors of deterioration are determined in order to elaborate a proposal of intervention that slows down, as far as possible, the causes of deterioration. With this proposal of character multidisciplinary and based on the maximum respect toward the monument and in the minimal intervention, is intended to protect and to spread the most important vestige of the military Islamic architecture of the city.
