Descripción
Sumario:This article reflects on the capacity to produce testimonies written by the subaltern classes. From a diachronic approach, it investigates the particularities of such memory over time. It is distinguished between the indirect and fragmentary conservation typical of the pre-nineteenth centuries, usually deposited in isolated remains, and another of a denser and articulated type developed in the contemporary era, especially in the twentieth century. It analyzes so-called "Archives from the Margin" and, in particular, what "popular writing archives" mean in the field of personal archives or auto-archives. Finally, the very concept of "archives" is problematized.
