Sumario:[EN] We live in a world where globalization has become in something unstoppable, nowadays it seems to be unthinkable not having any product available in any part of the world. The mayor guilty of all of this process is a regular, tight and easily manipulable box that can be adapt to any kind of commodity, the container. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of improvement. We know that, at the biggest container terminals, the amounts of charge to move and the machinery that works there are too heavy and dangerous for people who work in this environment. That's why technological improvements are the order of the day, not only to improve in security, but also equipment efficiency, that day by day are more respectfull with the environment. Besides a better performance, that is to say, we talk about container terminal's automatization process. In the present Final Master's Project, the technical sizing of a fully automated container transshipment terminal in the Port of the Bay of Algeciras (Spain) is sought, a port with the highest national container throughout given the fantastic geographical conditions of the área, since it is located in the Strait of Gibraltar, mandatory crossing point on the trade route to Asia for most shipping companies. There is a wide range of technologies to carry out this objective in each of the subsystems of which the terminal is composed: berth, as are automatic mooring equipment and STS cranes, capable of being manipulated by remote control; interconnection and storage, where equipment such as AGV and ASC, vehicles and unmanned cranes, fully automated and 100% electric; and reception and delivery, where sufficient technology is available to automate the entry and exit of vehicles from the terminal (OCR), as well as to facilitate the work of customs teams, through scanners and rapid management of information, which greatly increases the security component. For this case of study, it has planned a tecnic design that contains 6 STS cranes operated by remote control at the maritime door. 16 pairs of ASC cranes and 28 AGV fully automated to perform the work of transfer in the container yard. Finally, in the earth door it will bw two entry and exit doors with the latest technologies to facilitate the tasks of dispatching merchandise.
