Descrição
Resumo:This article examines a provisional compilation of diverse narrative sources from the western territories of the Crown of Aragon – namely Catalonia, Aragon, Valencia, and Majorca – with the aim of tracing records of epidemics from the late 13th to the 16th century. It analyzes how these episodes are described, specific events are highlighted, and whether there was a deliberate effort to construct a historical memory of plague outbreaks and other diseases.
