This Doctoral Thesis evaluates the efficacy of new technologies based on advanced oxidation processes against Cryptosporidium, which infectious forms have a robust nature, and they are often detected in wastewater treatment plant effluents, indicating that conventional sewage treatments do not remove this waterborne enteroparasite.
