Erased from history by the strong personality of Marta Pan or the voluntary forgetting of her husband, she re-emerges on the occasion of research carried out in 2018 on the review L’Homme et l’Architecture which she published with Wogenscky from 1945. to 1947. From this, the committed personality of Simone, noted author with many facets, like the different names she has borne, is reconstituted and is embedded in the base of a shared memory. Drawing teacher, painter, poet under the name of Danielle Janin, activist for the development of women and men, Simone Galpin also plays an eminent role in the projects of the rue de Sèvres workshop including the kitchen of the Unité d’habitation de Marseille in the continuity of the work undertaken by Charlotte Perriand. This article is also an opportunity to grasp the special relationship she has with Le Corbusier and her influence with the young people of the workshop to restore her to her place in the architectural history of the 20th century.[FR] Simone Galpin (1913-1973) est la premiére épouse de l’architecte André Wogenscky.
