Descrição
Resumo:[EN] In the last conference "Art, Clinic and History" organised by the History Section of the Spanish Association of Neuropsychiatry, I had the opportunity to present some of the results of my doctoral thesis. Specifically, I participated in the thematic round table "The architectures of exclusion", moderated by Dr. Margarita Medina. I completed my doctoral thesis at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). Specifically, in the Doctoral Programme in Advanced Architectural Projects (DPAA), and in the research group on Collective Housing (GIVCO). To contextualise the case study that I will discuss here, I will first briefly introduce the lines of research that I developed in this pre-doctoral stage, and which also form the basis of my post-doctoral project. I will then present the case study, one of the three pure panoptic prisons built in the Netherlands at the end of the 19th century, namely the one located in the city of Arnhem.
