description [eng] We live surrounded by emergencies in a context of economic uncertainty: environmental damage, economic crises, and political conflict are only some examples that cast serious doubts about the political relevance of actual economic science and the effectiveness of its correlated economic policies. This is why this project aims to pave the way towards the future development of a methodically well-founded economic science that is capable of rigorously justifying economic policies. Methodologically, the foundation of economic science is understood under the tradition of methodical constructivism as developed by philosopher and mathematician Paul Lorenzen as the justification of economic theory from praxis and for praxis. This means determining the pre-scientific economic practices that make the theory possible, stating the objectives and tasks at which these pre-scientific practices are aimed, and assessing the suitability of economic theory to conceptualize the given pre-scientific practice so as to improve it, as a means to accomplish the pre- scientifically determined objectives and tasks. To reach my objective, I base on the work of economist Adolph Lowe, whose methodological critique of mainstream economics, built on a thorough analysis of the law of supply and demand, I analyze and update to the present day. With this, I show the limitations of the actual approaches to macroeconomic science and, thus, the need for an alternative approach that can be properly founded. Such an analysis consists of terminological and logical clarification of Lowe’s claims as well as the claims of some critical voices raised against him, including suggestions for improvement when related to the aim of this project. Hereby I begin the construction of a precise and methodical scientific language, an ortho-language, which is a requisite for a proper foundation of economic science. With such a methodological apparatus and after such an analysis, I offer some guidelines on how a well-founded economic science, which I name ‘emergency economic science’, a science oriented to the resolution of emergencies, might look like, including potential implications concerning the economic and political system.

With such a methodological apparatus and after such an analysis, I offer some guidelines on how a well-founded economic science, which I name ‘emergency economic science’, a science oriented to the resolution of emergencies, might look like, including potential implications concerning the economic and political system.[spa] Vivimos rodeados de emergencias en un contexto de incertidumbre económica: deterioro ambiental, crisis económicas y conflictos políticos son sólo algunos ejemplos que arrojan serias dudas sobre la relevancia política de la ciencia económica actual y la efectividad de sus políticas económicas correlacionadas.
