Sumario:In Algeria, where Islam is the State religion coexist several political and religious divergent trends in which the presence of youth is increasingly noticed. However, the weight of tradition seems to play a strongly rooted role, in religious practice and in private or family life matters. In this work we shall expose the results of a survey conducted among young university students in 2017 with regard to their visions of religion, custom and women’s rights, focusing on issues such as marriage or inheritance that treat men and women unequally
