Sumario:Gender-based violence is one of the biggest equality problems we have today. This issue begins with small signs of sexism that gender roles propagate, which can lead to violence. These displays of discrimination are embedded in the educational system allowing students to normalize them and remain as a part of society. The solution to this problem could be to follow a coeducational methodology that teaches boys and girls equally by eliminating the roles traditionally associated with gender. However, the new models of men and women must be attractive so that students can replicate the new respectful and egalitarian attitudes and leave traditional and discriminatory models behind. This is why superhero and superheroine movies can be a good educational tool to provide the basis for a more equitable society.
