Sumario:[EN] Throughout the recent history of Spanish Industrial Design, exhibitions it has been a reflection of society, economy, industry and consumption habits, but also the evolution of the discipline itself, which has been documented in catalogs and press reviews that now allow us to know the projects of hundreds of designers and companies. In this sense, an objective of this thesis was to perform the first chronological study that gathers and analyzes the most important exhibitions in its historical, political, social and techno-logical context to understand the reasons why they occurred. Moreover, for professional curating and organizing exhibitions of Industrial Design exercise, we have a doctrinal vacuum, almost complete. This situation defines the second aim of the thesis: to provide a range of knowledge and personal experiences to develop a methodology that can be applied in management, and communication curated an exhibition. But also the curators, as designers, need to look to the future, so act as seismographs that detect the most subtle changes that occur in society, and for this they need tools that reduce the high degree of uncertainty. The third aim of the thesis has been to use a scientific methodology to define a number of trends and possible scenarios in which society and the profession will move over the next 25 years. There are many conclusions we have reached after years work, the most obvious is that exposures of Industrial Design are necessary and will continue to exist, because society needs to understand what happened, to interpret what happens at present and to imagine the future to come. They are the subject might be. The design objective is to improve the quality of life of people; the exhibitions record it and help understand the function of the design, it is what the hundreds of samples that can be seen in museums around the world, online and on new platforms that are revolutionizing the exhibition concept.
