| Sumario: | The aim of this research is to look at in the visual sources that inspire the mural decorations made in the sacred spaces of Antique Cartagena’s diocese during the Early Modern Age. More of these paintings are occulted under repaints, poorly maintained, or completely disappeared. We will take the opportunity the restoration of a wall paintings made with the grisaille technique in the sacristy of the Assumption Church of Yeste (Albacete). Thus, the main objective of the research is to analyse the artistic culture that allow these authors to configure scenes in full harmony with the artistic models executed in the great artistic centres of the diocesan area. Likewise, we link our analysis to the graphic sources that inspired these artists. |
