| Sumario: | [EN] This article summarizes an extensive search in the historical bibliography and in the Spanish treatises on the constructive conditions of the wooden eaves. The designations of its elements are discussed and contextualized, and confusions and even errors are indicated. A typological classification of these eaves is made, showing some relevant examples, as well as the constructive configuration of the Madrid wooden eaves from the late 19th century. It concludes with the assessment of the technological content of the historical sources consulted and points out the need to interpret the sources in their historical and technological context. |
