| Sumario: | Museums play an important role in the interpretation and understanding of cultural heritage. One of the main purposes of museums in recent years has been the organization of educational and recreational activities for visitors to enjoy and learn in these spaces of art and culture. Currently, the Community of Madrid offers five museums located in palaces for joint visits on its website. This paper analyzes these five museum spaces with the aim of assessing whether the interpretation of heritage is suitable for all audiences, especially for students in higher education. To this end, using a qualitative methodology, we analyze whether the activities proposed by these museums and the materials published on their websites are viable didactic resources for heritage education for visitors in general and, more specifically, for university professors in the teaching-learning process of heritage, history, and art history. The results show that, in spite of being a product created for the local visitor, there are no specific materials or sufficient activities for the university community or for teachers at these educational levels. |
