Sumario:The nineties have experienced an increase in the interest and research on Cuba, in particular on economic, political and ideological issues. This is due to two interconnected processes that have taken place: the deepening of economic crisis has led the so-called "special period peacetime": and the reaffirmation of the socialist identity of the Cuban Revolution, The article analyze the ideas found in the most recent Cubanology and suggests that most ideas, despite their source coincide at a conceptual level with the official rhetoric of the United States and of that of the Cuban community abroad.
