| Sumario: | [EN] The Eclipses Catalog of Espenak & Meeus (2006), contains 9,492 cases that occurred on the planet from the year -1999 to 2019. Of them we have selected those that met three conditions: that could have been observed from Calahorra; that they were as Totals (8) or almost (1); and that they had occurred before the year 1000. Those that satisfy those restrictions correspond to the years: -1405, -900, -708, -363, 418, 603, 655, 753 and 939. That cover dates of the Prehistory, Antiquity and High Middle Ages, and probably these same eclipses could be seen by a large part of La Rioja. In this article, these nine eclipses are described offering the main geographical and astronomical parameters that define them, and for each one, we also try to offer some of the social and historical circumstances in which Calahorra was located during the dates in which these phenomena. |
