Sumario:The target of the present drafting is to provide a new concept as well as updating the building process in the San Bartolome temple by Seville and its tower, currently under restoration, throughout its constructive history, partially gathered by original documentary sources, both –conception and updating- taken from the new plant works trusted in the diocesan records and in the subsequent repairing jobs and modifications. The trigger of the investigation is the proposal of remaking the believed original design of the long-lost crown-ing of the tower in this new rebuilding project. However, the analysis of the available information as well as the stock of knowledge already stored claim without a doubt its belonging to a much later artistic moment. In this matter, we finally give a personal view on the building-intervention policy in former architectural style
