This sudden educational change could accelerate the acceptance of online learning, or conversely, increase its rejection. The purpose of this experimental study is to examine students? acceptance and intention for continued use of online learning, which were abruptly adopted in face-to-face universities due to Covid-19. To this end, the responses of students of 3 face-to-face universities (N = 194) to an online questionnaire were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The study was based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) but included other relevant factors, such as the emotional factor, feelings of uncertainty, security in the e-learning system and satisfaction with educational technology. The results indicate that uncertainty due to Covid-19, the emotional factor and security do not significantly affect the students? intention to use e-learning systems. However, these factors have a significant impact on students' perception of satisfaction, which is a decisive factor that positively influences the process of the adoption of e-learning systems. This study discusses noteworthy theoretical and practical implications for education that will help teachers and universities in their decision making towards the digital transformation process.Sage20232023-12-08journal articlehttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501NAhttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_be7fb7dd8ff6fe43info:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10017/59979https://dx.doi.org/10.1177/21582440231214873reponame:e_Buah Biblioteca Digital Universidad de Alcaláinstname:Universidad de Alcalá (UAH)Inglésengopen accesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:ebuah.uah.es:10017/599792026-06-18T11:13:07Z
