Resumo:The objective of this doctoral thesis is to determine whether intensive blood pressure targets are associated with a reduction in mortality and morbidity as compared with standard blood pressure targets in the treatment of people with hypertension and a history of CKD, defined as albuminuria, as a marker of kidney damage or decreased GFR. Kidney abnormalities defined in the studies as CKD are also considered as inclusion criteria.
