| Summary: | [EN] The places that lead us to understand the concept of architectural space, those that show us its soul and architecture’s true luxury, are those that can’t be described by their exterior, those that aren’t displayed in an obvious way, which require a certain exploration, those which remain in silence and darkness, because light only reaches them in a timid, dense and filtered way. To suggest sectioning as an instrument for architectural exploration is to insist on the idea of rummaging through reality’s interior, the excitement of scraping of the visible appearance to discover what’s inside. An effective instrument that can be applied either to a story by Perec, by John Cheever, or to a church by Francesco Borromini or an abandoned residential house in Englewood, New Jersey. |
