Effect of competition between Aphytis chrysomphali (Mercet) and A. melinus (Hymenoptera:Aphelinidae), on their coexistence and efficacy as biological control agents of Aonidiella aurantii (Hemiptera: Diaspididae)

The introduced has completely displaced the native A. chrysomphali in the south, whereas they coexist in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula. This knowledge will contribute to improve their use in biological control programs, especially in the case of A. aurantii in the Mediterranean basin.
