| Sumario: | Agenda and frame building in the media is a complex process in which several actors intervene. This doctoral thesis analyses the relationship between journalists and political PRs and the negotiations established to influence into the information and opinion making process of the Catalan radio programmes. The research applies a three level frame analysis –intervention, speech and structure- to the radio content. The study observes media reaction to the announcement of Constitutional Court sentence about the Catalan Statute. This analysis not only shows the lexical and rhetorical characteristics of the main media frames detected on air, but also the diverse strategies to control the own frame on air made by journalists (framers) and political actors (frame sponsors). |
