Sumario:South of Alicante, in the eastern end o f Sierra del Colmenar, an outcrop of bird and mammal fossil footprints (icnites) is well exposed, the latter show in gan excellent state of preservation. In this paper the mammal icnites are described for the first time and a lower Pliocene age is afforded for them. Three mammal trails have been studied: one belongs clearly to an Ursid and the other two are for the moment assigned to an Equid. The footprints characteristics are discussed in order to conclude the possible species causing them, as well as the ir size and gait
