Descripción
Sumario:This thesis critically examines how residential typology affects emotional responses and social life within communal spaces, using three estates in Katowice as case studies. Through a combination of theoretical insight and on-the-ground analysis, including spatial documentation, behavioral maps, and neighbors surveys, the research demonstrated that housing design strongly influences how people use and perceive shared environments. Spaces that support visibility, comfort, and informal behaviors tend to promote community and belonging. The findings advocate for design approaches that prioritize human-scale experience and emotional well-being in the creation of future residential neighborhoods.
