| Sumario: | In this paper we analyze the spatial distribution of elements around points of interest. Based on a spatial exclusion principle we model the system by means of a Fermi–Dirac distribution defined by two easily interpretable parameters. By means of image analysis, two real cases are studied and compared to the theory: people in an open-air concert and cars in a mall parking-lot. We show that they closely obey the proposed fermion-like statistics. |
