This methodology addresses the study of the rock art of Muro de los Grabados panel (La Peña de Candamo cave) and Panel de las Manos (El Castillo cave) from spatial, temporal, technique and stylistic perspectives, applying new technologies. Therefore, our purpose is to improve the understanding of the reappropriation systems of subterranean symbolic spaces of the Upper Palaeolithic, focusing on caves with recurrent use evidences. On one hand, we have identified figures that play a principal role in these panels as a link between the different decorative periods, in relation with the Palaeolithic sanctuary concept. On the other hand, reuses of figures have been found in periods after been carried out, following the etnoarchaeological interpretation of aggregation sites.
