Descrição
Resumo:The present work offers a critical analysis of the basic functioning of the common European asylum system, in light of the deficiencies observed especially during the so-called “migration crisis”, occurred after the outbreak of the conflict in Syria and the resurgence of other long-term conflicts which has led to the largest exodus of people in the world since the Second World War. In this research, special emphasis is placed on the analysis of the procedure for determination of the State responsible for the examination of the asylum claim, the existing legal framework for cases of massive displacement, as well as on main characteristics of procedures and content of refugee protection in the European Union.
