Descripción
Sumario:The need for widespread and sustained ocean measurements makes Pop-up buoys a promising tool for acquiring multiparametric data from autonomous oceanographic platforms on the seabed, without extracting these platforms to the surface. Capturing GPS messages transmitted by Pop-up buoys using a Software-De-fined Radio (SDR) is a great step towards geolocating the buoys and knowing their trajectory while drifting. Later, the implementation of an unmanned vehicle will be vital to have direct contact with the Pop-up buoy and collect all the stored measurements, in a faster way without depending on the passage of satellites.
