So, while the past fifty years of history of the Valencianism movement have been studied closely—nearly since its origins—a bibliography of periods prior to the emergence of what is known as “Fusteriansism” (in reference to the writer Joan Fuster) contains considerable gaps. The historical trajectory of Valencianism has been outlined thanks to several literary genres: from biographies and autobiographies to the latest doctoral theses, including historical essays and sociological and political works. Ultimately, it is clear that a lot has been achieved since 1962 in consolidating our knowledge of Valencianism, but there is still much research left to be doneActualment comencem a tenir un important volum d’obres de caràcter historiogràfic sobre el valencianisme polític. Aquest conjunt de llibres i articles, però, és incomplet i ple de buits pel que fa a determinades etapes històriques. Així, mentre els darrers cinquanta anys d’història del moviment valencianista han estat bastant estudiats, gairebé des dels seus orígens, les etapes prèvies a la irrupció del que s’ha conegut com a «fusterianisme» presenten importants llacunes bibliogràfiques. Diversos són els gèneres que han servit per a traçar el recorregut històric del valencianisme polític. Trobem texts que van des de la biografia fins a l’autobiografia passant per l’assaig històric —junt amb treballs d’un marcat caràcter sociològic o polític— fins a arribar a les darreres tesis doctorals.
