Resumo:Inevitable increase in number of wireless communication users led to search for solutions to provide higher bandwidth requirement. Most famous candidate is Radio-over-Fiber systems to fulfil bandwidth necessity even though some impairments are occurred such as Chromatic Dispersion while mm-wave signals are propagating over fiber optics. To overcome this effect, optical single sideband configuration is presented. Moreover, Optimum cases of optical single sideband configuration is analytically studied. These results are supported by simulations. Later on, IQ modulated Radio over fiber setup is built and experiments are performed concluding constellation, SNR and EVM as quality measures of the transmission.
