Descripción
Sumario:Sprachbund today is a recognized linguistic concept for structural convergence of different languages in contact within a geographícal area. As a result of this kind of linguistic contact, some operative principies of each subsystern (ie phonological, rnorphological, syntactical and sernantical) of the languages of a determinate geographical area can develop in a parallel way, showing the so called "common features". In this article we atternpt to describe the origin and developrnent of the concept Sprachbund and its main features, ie the conditions, that a group of languages rnust show in order to form a Sprachbund. As an example, we mention here the case of the Balkan languages, which are said, on one hand, to form a Sprachbund, on the other hand, to be the rnost popular and longest analysed Sprachbund. At the end of this article we try to show in sorne way, that there are also some signs of a Germanic-Rornance Sprachbund and suggest an appropriate term -Singlosia-, when talking about this concept in Spanish.
