| Sumario: | [EN] Fecal fiber is a known nutritional indicator, and its monitoring has allowed the assessment of food availability, health status of individuals, and changes in environmental conditions. In this study, NIRS was applied to predict fiber content (NDF, ADF, ADL) in wild and domestic herbivore fecal samples. Samples were provided by several European research groups. Our results showed that an herbivore multispecies NIRS calibration can be used with high accuracy to assess fecal fiber contents. |
